This year, we embarked on a series of challenges to support two charities close to our hearts. Thanks to the determination of our team, and the incredible generosity of our sponsors, we managed to raise over £5856 for two amazing causes: St Mary's Hospice and Keswick Mountain Rescue.
Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
To kick things off we tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, spanning 24 miles and involving the summits of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. Our team was met with the full force of classic British weather, battling through fierce 50mph winds and an unrelenting downpour that tested both our spirits and endurance. Despite the harsh conditions, the team powered through and completed the challenge in under 12 hours, showing incredible teamwork and resilience.
Coniston Paddle Board Challenge
Next up, we embarked on our second summer challenge, swapping hiking boots for paddleboards to take on Coniston Water. Stretching across 5.5 miles, Coniston is the 5th largest lake in England, and provided the perfect backdrop for this next test of endurance. Paddling its entire length, our team once again put their fitness to the test to raise vital funds for the two great causes.
National Three Peaks Challenge
To wrap things up, we faced the legendary National Three Peaks Challenge. In just 24 hours, this unstoppable group summited the three highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales—Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon. This epic feat demanded peak physical fitness, mental stamina, and a huge amount of teamwork. From one country to the next, the Blueprint team displayed unwavering grit and camaraderie, pushing through exhaustion to raise even more for charity.
